AlertMe

Project in brief:

Working as part of a small team, with Photoshop mockups and graphic assets supplied by Clear (a London-based graphic design agency) we created the HTML, CSS and jQuery/JavaScript to display the “app”-styled functionality shown in the screenshots.

We also created the back-end PHP web service to pull the energy information from MySQL, using Zend Framework.

Client comments:

“I met Dave (technical lead at DC Systems) ten years ago at ProQuest and was very impressed with him as an experienced web developer, even back then. At AlertMe he has been working for me 3 days per week on our new energy monitoring site. Dave swiftly got up to speed with our development environment, and implemented our iPhone-styled apps in a very few days. It was also great to be able to discuss options and alternatives with Dave, based on his experience.”
– Ben Coppin, VP Data Analytics, AlertMe.com

“David is an excellent developer. A cut above the standard contractor, his broad experience and knowledge – both as a developer and a manager – serve him very well indeed. He has the ability to see beyond a single task and views a project holistically, identifying pitfalls and recommending solutions without prompting. I enjoyed working with David very much, and would relish the opportunity to work with him again.”
– Steve Edwards, Development Lead, managed David at AlertMe.com
